The Home for Little Wanderers Honors Alumni

Ashland resident recognized for remembering his roots

BOSTON — The Home for Little Wanderers announced today that Frederick A. Kramer of Ashland will be honored at the child and family services agency’s 2008 Voices & Visions Gala. On May 28, Mr. Kramer, along with two other alumni, will be recognized for their fulfilling professional and personal lives after getting their start at The Home.

Through the love and support of his adoptive family, Luella and Henry F. Kramer, he was encouraged to follow his dreams and today is the President of ADD Inc., a nationally recognized architectural and design firm located in Cambridge.

"Fred is an inspirational leader to those in the business community and all of us. His support of The Home and the arts is not only visible in his actions, but literally on the walls of our programs," said Joan Wallace-Benjamin, President and CEO of The Home for Little for Little Wanderers. In 2007, the staff of ADD Inc. created a mural at The Home’s Therapeutic After School program. "The annual Voices & Visions gala is an occasion when we honor the imaginative spirit of all of the children in our care; this year we are especially glad to have an opportunity to honor that same spirit in adults who graduated from our care and have brought their talents to their professional lives."

About Voices & Visions

Voices & Visions is The Home for Little Wanderers’ annual signature fundraising event. The 2007 gala raised $1,000,000 to support our programs. This unique event is the culmination of a year-long arts project throughout our many programs and features art work by some of our youngest children. The theme of the 2008 event, to be held at the Seaport World Trade Center, is Animals and Their Habitat.
