Lunch with Grey's Anatomy Star Raises Nearly $17k Funds will benefit The Home for Little Wanderers' children in need
Boston, MA — Krista Alperin and Ciarna DiPlacido enjoyed a weekend they will never forget, when they got the chance to dine with Grey’s Anatomy star, Ellen Pompeo on Saturday. Significant funds were paid for lunch with the star, after a frantic bidding war at The Home for Little Wanderers’ Online Holiday Auction (www.thehome.org) last December. The lunch for four took place at The Bristol Lounge, at the Four Seasons in Boston. The funds raised will go towards helping children in need at The Home, which plans to hold its third annual online auction in December. "Ellen is the most down to earth, warm and engaging person, said Alperin, "Now I'm even a bigger fan."
