One-of-a-kind Golf Fundraiser for Women Announced

Local residents invited to support children and families in need

BOSTON  —Women golfers and their friends are invited to participate in The Home for Little Wanderers’ 3rd Annual Home in One Women’s Golf Tournament to benefit at-risk children and families in The Home’s programs across New England. The tournament will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Woodland Golf Club, 1897 Washington Street, Auburndale, MA.

“We’re excited that this year’s Home in One Women’s Golf Tournament will be at Woodland Country Club,” said Clemmie Cash, a Board Member of The Home and Chair of the golf tournament committee. “This is a unique event that continues to grow by encouraging women to invite their friends and co-workers for a day on the course, all in support of a good cause. The event features a choice of 18 holes or a golf clinic, so it is suitable for golfers of all levels.”

The Home for Little Wanderers is the nation’s oldest and one of New England’s largest, private, non-profit child and family service agencies. Many who come to The Home have had devastating experiences with abuse and neglect and struggle with emotional and behavioral issues. The Home in One event will support The Home for Little Wanderers’ mission to ensure the healthy behavioral, emotional, social and educational development and physical well-being of children and families living in at-risk circumstances.

Now is your chance to make a difference as you enjoy this exceptional golf experience at the Home in One Women’s Tournament. Space is limited and participants are encouraged to register early. Registration is $300 per person/$1200 per foursome and includes a choice of a round of golf or golf clinic in addition to breakfast and lunch.
