Charity in Bloom Supports The Home for Little Wanderers During Child Abuse Prevention Month

Ambassadors Help Kickoff Month-long Campaign

BOSTON (April 1, 2014) — Support for one of the Boston area’s favorite non-profits is blossoming this spring. The Home for Little Wanderers (The Home) announced today that throughout the month of April — National Child Abuse Prevention Month — it will be partnering with Winston Flowers as part of their Charity in Bloom program. Each month, Winston Flowers designs and sells a floral arrangement made specifically for a local non-profit organization, donating 20% of sales to benefit the cause.

Winston Flowers’ arrangement for The Home is a perfect gift to celebrate Easter, Passover, birthdays or other special occasions. During the month-long campaign, The Home has engaged several local businesses and celebrities to show their support by bringing The Home’s arrangement into the community as Charity in Bloom Ambassadors.

“The Winston Flowers family is proud to be partnering with The Home and supporting their extraordinary efforts in benefitting the lives of our communities’ young people,” said Simone Winston, Community Relations, Winston Flowers.

The Home for Little Wanderers cares for some of the state’s most vulnerable children and families. “Whether it is counseling a family in crisis, providing a place to heal for kids with challenges, creating safe havens in foster care and ‘forever families’ through adoption, or showing a suicidal teen news ways to cope, the goal of The Home’s work is always the same: to help children and families thrive and succeed,” said Meredith Bryan, The Home’s Vice President for Development and Communications. “We are honored that Winston Flowers has selected us as their Charity in Bloom partner during the month of April.”
