Sue Gunby Sue Gunby, MSW, LICSW graduated Simmons School of Social Work in 1989. She began her career as a social worker providing home-based and school-based child and family work for the Family Outreach Program of the Center for Family Development, an agency located on the North Shore. The agency went through several mergers during the 24 years she worked on the North Shore and it is now known as Lahey Health Behavioral Services. Ms. Gunby’s role in the agency grew during her tenure: clinician, supervisor, program coordinator, program director. When she left the agency in January 2013, Ms. Gunby was running two outpatient programs, overseeing an outpatient outreach site, managing two DMH in-home Family Systems Teams and was the Program Director of the Gloucester Methadone Clinic located in Gloucester. In addition, she has been a field instructor for Master’s level social work interns for Simmons, Boston College, and Salem State. She has been a visiting instructor at Salem State University School of Social Work since 2003 teaching Community Practice, Advanced Clinical Practice, and Agency Leadership. She joined the Home in 2013 as the Program Director of the Child and Family Counseling Center. In 2018, she was promoted to Vice President of Behavioral Health.
