National Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Show your support of this month's Blue Ribbon Campaign by wearing and distributing blue ribbons, organizing community activities, and showing support for organizations like The Home that help keep kids safe and families together.

Many of the 20,000 children confirmed as being abused or neglected in Massachusetts each year are referred to The Home after they have been placed into the custody of the Department of Children and Families. It then becomes our job to try to mitigate the impact of this often unspeakable trauma and give those children the best possible shot at a happy and productive life. But we also work to stop the abuse before it happens, providing intensive counseling and family support services through our community-based programs.
