Community Service Agencies
The Home operates two, The Hyde Park and Park Street, Community Service Agencies (CSAs) which serve youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) who are enrolled in MassHealth Standard or CommonHealth and meet certain medical criteria. This program is part of the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). The two programs serve Dorchester, South Boston, Hyde Park, Roslindale, Mattapan, and West Roxbury.
Our primary goal is to help families strengthen their skills and knowledge in order to move towards their envisioned future. To do this, we offer two services to enrolled families:
Family Support and Training
This service is provided through the Family Partner — someone with personal experience raising child with a disability and who uses that knowledge and skill to assist parents and caregivers to find effective support for their whole family.
Intensive Care Coordination (ICC)
An Intensive Care Coordinator is knowledgeable and available to help out in the coordination of supports for a family. They use the wraparound system to direct multiple services and supports for youth.
School Support
Through the wraparound system, we work with families on youth’s educational goals. By collaborating with the school system, the CSA staff regularly support families in understanding their child’s educational, behavioral, and emotional needs in a school setting.
By offering structured strengthen-based supports therapeutic mentors help youth address their daily living, social and communication needs.
