Preschool Outreach Program Services
At The Center for Early Childhood

The Preschool Outreach Program (POP) focuses on building and strengthening positive social emotional health in young children. The goal is to help children achieve success in family relationships and their learning environment through thought and collaborative partnerships.


Children and families who seek help from POP for a variety of concerns including:

      • Challenging and/or disruptive behaviors 
      • History with domestic and/or community violence 
      • Homelessness 
      • Caregiver substance abuse 
      • Family conflict 
      • General stress and anxiety
      • Adjustment to significant changes 
      • Support for social skills 
      • Foster Care/Adoption issues

POP’s professionally trained staff provide services which include:

      • Individual Play therapy 
      • Family Therapy 
      • Child-Parent psychotherapy 
      • Sensory-Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART) 
      • Parent and Caregiver consultation and support related to understanding young child development 
      • Specialized work with trauma, foster, placement, pre-adoptive and adoptive counseling and consultation

Services are provided in our offices in Roslindale and on-site in preschools, day care centers, and Head Start programs.
