Residential Care at The Home for Little Wanderers

The Home provides a range of residential programs for youth who need to be in an out-of-home placement. Often, children who need out-of-home placement have experienced one of the following:

• Abuse 
• Neglect 
• Severe behavioral problems

The Home’s five residential programs offer different services and levels of care. Some of the programs are to prepare youth to transition back to their families or go on to independent living. Group homes give youth the opportunity to acclimate into their community to enable a successful transition. Our group homes include:

Harrington House

Roxbury House

Waltham House

The Home’s two other residential homes are more intensive programs which also include on-site private special education schools.
