Clinical Approaches and Services Provided at the Collaborative

The Collaborative works to stabilize children and families, strengthen skills, and address obstacles to successful functioning of the youth in the community with their family. The clinical approaches The Collaborative utilizes include:

      • Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma (ITCT) 
      • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) 
      • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) 
      • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) 
      • Motivational Interviewing (MI) 
      • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) 
      • Restorative Practices

Each youth is assigned a Core Team which stays with them no matter where they are transitioned. The team provides the following services:

      • Wrap-around case management 
      • Home-Based Family Therapy 
      • Intensive Parent Coaching 
      • Vocational Training, Support, and placement 
      • In-Home and Out-of-Home Day Respite 
      • Community-Integration and Outreach Counseling 
      • Peer Mentoring 
      • Holiday and After-School Therapeutic Programming
      • Linkage with Community Resources and Special Services 
      • Psychopharmacology consultation 
      • Occupational therapy consultation 
      • Out-of-Home Placement in group homes located across eastern Massachusetts 
      • Pre-Independent Living 
      • Intensive Foster Care (For DMH-referred youth) 
      • 24-hour Crisis Support
